The poster for the EAED competition “Academy’s Innovation Award” emphasises the process of creation of a new personalized smile design with VisagiSMile. In the poster there are snapshots and descriptions showing the working process in 8 easy steps. VisagiSMile is a novel dental software which is an:

  • Important guideline for the dentist to do the direct mock up, (or concepts like DSD, SKYN etc.)
  • Important guideline for the dental technicians to re-create the design wanted by the clinicians and the patient.

VisagiSMile software has already been presented at various prestigious international conferences and many scientific articles are focused on its innovative digital approach to the personalized smile design. You can find some of them below:

The scientific article on the innovative dental software “Software Application for Smile Design Automation Using the Visagism Theory” has met CompSysTech’s four evaluation criteria – Originality of contributions, Significance of contributions, Presentation and Overall impression.

The paper presents the technologies, algorithms and methodologies involved in the software development of Visagismile. The goal of VisagiSMile is to automate this process of creating aesthetic cases and to eliminate the human factor from the analysis. Based on innovative data mining approach, the software learns to classify patients’ faces correctly and then makes the necessary calculations to produce harmonious teeth configuration which can be further adjusted.

Boyan Yankov will present the article at the International Conference CompSysTech – International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies, which will be held on the 23rd and the 24th June in Palermo, Italy.

VisagiSMile team has created a distinguished poster for the 21th BaSS Congress. The visuals show the process of generating four digital facial maps for each of the main facial types: strong, dynamic, delicate and calm. The software can generate an average digital facial masks could be used for digital facial analysis with the algorithm C5.1 – classification tree with confidence to 84,337% of determined by them facial type.

A new scientific article by Prof. Nitzan Bichacho and his colleagues Dr. Mirela Feraru and Dr. Vincenzo Musella describes a non orthodontic and non surgical restorative approach with digital esthetic planning. In the paper “Individualizing a Smile Makeover, Current Strategies for Predictive Results”, prof. Bichacho has put a stress on ‪VisagiSMile‬ digital software. According to the authors “current esthetic software programs can be powerful tools in assessing and modifying the design of deficient smiles.”
The article was published in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry magazine – Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry.
