VisagiSMile’s World Premiere Took Place at Sofia Dental Meeting 2015
VisagiSMile’s World Premiere was held on October 3, 2015 at the international conference Sofia Dental Meeting. We were pleased to present our innovative software to our colleagues and to have a discussion about the relationship between the facial features, the temperament and the harmonious tooth configuration of the patient.
A live clinical demonstration on “Esthetic Analysis and Tooth Preparation for Veneers” was conducted by one of VisagiSMile’s founders, the honorary president of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry – dr. Galip Gürel.

Other members of VisagiSMile’s team have also presented intriguing lectures: dr. Dimitar Filchev, dr. Georgi Iliev and dr. Braulio Paolucci. Dr. Dimitar Filchev has had a speech about the modern concepts for planning and treatment in esthetic zone and dr. Georgi Iliev has presented on the topic “Personalized Digital Smile Design – A New Approach in Planning Esthetic Cases”.

Our specialists demonstrated how easy it is to work with the VisagiSMile software – it is enough to take a photograph of the patient with а tablet and it will appear in the software where you can calibrate it and choose points on the patient’s face which make up a facial map. Based on the facial map and on a short psychological test that the patient completes, the software displays their temperament and a harmonizing tooth configuration. Then the dentist is able to edit it manually and to visualize it on a picture of the patient’s face. The output file can easily be exported, printed and made available for production in the dental laboratory.

Our partner for the development of the project is the innovative Bulgarian digital agency, Web Motion. Together we have completed a trial version of the software only for a year and we are constantly working on the new features for easy shooting and calibration of images and for intuitive redesign of each tooth. The software is self-improving and self-educating to recognize the types of faces based on the facial maps entered from clinical cases. Thus, VisagiSMile can easily minimize the errors, arising from mismatch of the aesthetic views of the dentist and the patient.
